| Members must complete
10 activities. The first activity is required.
1. Sing the Star-Spangled Banner
2. Find 3 adults at school who play or played a musical instrument.
Report to your teacher about who it is and what instrument the adult
played.
3. Bring a favorite song to class, play it on the stereo. Tell why
you like it.
4. Go to a concert - at school or somewhere else.
5. Make an instrument out of any common items.
6. Compose (make up) a song and perform it for the class (singing or
playing an instrument).
7. Put new words to a song you already know (like "Twinkle, twinkle"
becomes "Irving, Irving").
8. Make a listening map to a song.
9. Make up a new verse to "The Cat Came Back".
10. Learn the refrain part of "Rocky Mountain" and play it on a
xylophone, keyboard, or piano.
11. Make a poster showing the 4 instrument families.
12. Sing Old MacDonald while eating Animal Crackers.
13. Know 3 songs from the "Sing America" list.
14. Sing the School Song.
15. Perform in a concert.
